Following the publication of our new look catalogue last year, we are delighted to present our updated internet layout and website. This includes new search functions, and the convenience of an on line payment option. We trust that this facility will make your holiday preparations even easier.

Another exciting development at Coquelicot is the expansion of our geographical boundaries to include a number of properties in the beautiful neighbouring country of Italy. We are now able to offer a range of holiday locations from St Remy de Provence through to the hills behind Nice in France, and right down to Italy. All the houses selected by Coquelicot meet exacting standards of quality and comfort. Whichever you choose-“L’Art de Vivre” or “La Dolce Vita” – you are assured of a most pleasant and relaxing stay.

Customer satisfaction is our top priority at Coquelicot. Your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve our service to you are important to us, and we do our utmost to carry them out. For instance your request for services such as internet connection and the supply of towels to be included in the packaged price of the holiday homes has been noted, and we have passed on these suggestions to the house owners.

We are pleased to report that 98% of customers surveyed were “satisfied” over the year 2007. Your comments and evaluations are always appreciated, as they are the best means of ensuring that our high level of service is continued into the future.
 

Important about the holiday homes / Service Information

Our prices all all-inclusive package prices. No extra reservation charge is made by Coquelicot. When you arrive at your holiday destination you will find everything ready and waiting for you, including freshly made beds, so you can begin to unwind and enjoy your holiday the moment you step through the door. Our houses and apartments are carefully selected and the owners take pride in offering their guest an excellent standard of hospitality.

Equipment

It is important not to expect the same style of architecture and furnishings as you may have in your own residence. Take it easy, and remember that you are in another country with different customs.
In the French or Italian way of life a good menu is considered more important than an expensive lamp shade or an extra wide bed!

Bed linen/towels.

Bed linen is provided by the owner and is included in the package price. In most instances, towels for personal use are also provided and are included in the package price. If not, this is mentioned in the house description details.

Security Deposit.

A cash security deposit is to be handed to the owner or their representative upon arrival. A receipt will be issued to you for this amount. Coquelicot will transfer the full amount of the security deposit, less any damages incurred, to your account within ten days of your departure.
If damages to property are incurred we ask that you attempt to settle the cost of reparation amicably with the landlord. If this is not possible, Coquelicot will intervene to find an appropriate solution to the situation. It must be noted however, as Coquelicot has no means of verifying facts, it will usually find in favour of the owners in the majority of cases. After reparation has been made you will receive the balance of the security deposit. You may then choose to make a claim on your personal insurance to recover these costs.

Final cleaning.

You are asked to leave the property in a clean and tidy state. Please wash up crockery and cutlery, empty the rubbish bins and sweep the floor. The final cleaning is completed by the owners and is included in the rental price.

Time of stay.

The minimum duration of stay during high season is two weeks. Please note that arrival time is from 5pm onwards, and departure time no later than 10am on the final morning.

Occupancy.

Holiday properties are leased strictly to the number of tenants outlined in the reservation form. Any overnight accommodation for additional visitors must have prior authorization of the owner. This arrangement extends to tents and motor homes on the property.

Extra costs.

In the majority of Coquelicot homes there are no extra charges. However during winter some owners may ask a surcharge for fire wood or heating costs. Internet costs are mostly included in the renting price. In these instances, the cost of these items will be charged to you directly by the property owner. Please ask for details at the time of making your booking.

Fire.

Please be aware that due to the high risk of forest fires the lighting of all open air fires is strictly prohibited by law from March to October.
If you wish to prepare a barbeque, please use the grill provided. You are also requested to take care that all cigarette butts are completely extinguished to avoid risk of fire during the summer season.

Insurance.

On the Coquelicot web site you will find links to Hanse Merkur Travel Insurance AG. This company offers a range of travel insurance options at competitive prices, including reimbursement of expenses in case of cancellation. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance with personal liability cover prior to going on holiday. In accordance with legal requirements Coquelicot customers are automatically insured against insolvency of the agency. Under such circumstances the full amount of expenses paid to Coquelicot for the planned holiday will be reimbursed to the customer by R+V Insurance in Wiesbaden.
