This little holiday house in a rural setting is part of a lovely manor. It does not have any direct neighbours and offers a marvellous view on the hilly landscape and the historic city of Volterra.
The mediaeval city of Volterra is about 7 km away from your holiday house. San Gimignano is about 20 km away, Siena and Pisa about 60 km. The bathing resort Cecina with it's marvellous sand beaches is about 50 km away.
The small and inviting holiday house is very comfortable and calm.
Your friendly and discreet landlords live on the same property and produce olives, cereals, vine and fruits.
The pool (8 m by 4 m, depth 1,45 m) with deckchairs, sunshades and a shower is exclusively for you. A small separated garden, a shady terrace with a table and chairs, a BBQ, a wood oven as well as a swing and a small slide for children are available, too. Moreover, there is a private laundry with a washing machine.
You enter the house via the living room (32 m2) with an open kitchen, a dining table, a sofa bed and a TV set (international channels). The kitchen is perfectly well equipped (electric oven, 4 gas burners, refrigerator with freezing compartment, dish washer, coffee maker, toaster). On the left side of the living room is situated a first bedroom with a 160 cm-double bed, which gives access to the garden. Furthermore, there is a bathroom (shower + WC) as well as a second bedroom (two 90 cm-single beds which you can join if you prefer). A cot, an ironing board, a flat iron are available. All windows have mosquito nets.
Parking spaces are available on the property in front of the house. Well-educated animals may be accommodated on request. All shopping facilities are about 7 km away. Bikes are available for free. You are welcome to get fruits and vegetables in the garden and your landlords will enjoy to advice you concerning good restaurants and local specialties.

Volterra is a mediaeval city with a curtain wall and impressive gates. Visit Piazza dei Priori with the oldest palace of Tuscany, the minster, the fortress „Fortezza Medicea“ and the Roman theatre. Volterra is also known for its alabaster works, a tradition which traces back to the Etruscan. There are numerous shops offering little objects and jewellery made from alabaster.
