A beautiful and typically Provençal country house just a stone's throw away from the animated small town of Saint Rémy (4km) and the most lovely village Baux-de-Provence.
This original "mas" (= country house in South of France) offers a lot of space and privacy, a beautiful
swimming pool
(10 m x 5 m, depth 0,70 – 1,70 m), a large fenced area where your children may play without any danger, a gorgeous shaded terrace with a large dining table, WLAN internet access in every room… and last but not least remarkable tidyness and very friendly landlords. It is not surprising that we have not been the first to discover the charme and the quality of this holiday rental: The German magazine "Adieu Tristesse" published an entire article about the "mas" in its January edition 2008!
Here is the layout of the house:
You enter the country house via the dining room (large dining table). This room as well as all the others are furnished in a typically rural and Provençal style. The heavy wooden beds and wardrobes, but also the wooden floors give to the house its characteristic charme, which made me think of Van Gogh.
Left of the dining room you find the entirely equipped kitchen (including dish washer). Right of the dining room you enter the living room with its fireplace (telephone for incoming calls, TV, video, DVD).
Next to the kitchen are situated a bathroom (shower, bathtub) and a separate WC. Next to living room you find a bedroom furnished with two double beds (90 cm), a separate shower, a separate bathtub and a separate WC.
Two stairways lead to two separated areas of the first floor. Both have two bedrooms (2 bedrooms with a double bed 160 cm, 2 bedrooms each one with 2 single beds 90 cm). A shared separate WC as well as a single washbasin are available next to two of these bedrooms.
Practical advices
The layout of the house as well as the numerous toilets and bathrooms offer a lot of privacy even if you travel as a group. The fenced area outdoors, where a most beautiful sycamore tree gives shade, is situated directly in front of the house and includes the terrace. The swimming pool (non heated, at your disposal all year round) is not situated in this area but on a well-tended lawn. The property is surrounded with two hectares of meadowland. Garden furniture, a BBQ, a washing machine and a flat iron as well as an ironing board are at your disposal. There are roofed car parks for three cars, but even more cars can be parked on the property. An alarm device is available. Domestic animals are not accepted. First shops (supermarket and other amenities) are about 3 km away.
