Surroundings

The Chiana Valley was the granary of Etruria for a long time, even when Hannibal crossed it to conquer Rome. Today it is still a fertile area, characterised by hills, olive groves, vineyards, orchards and grain fields. The pretty Cortona lies in the middle of this beautiful landscape and offers a stunning view of the valley due to its elevated position. Excursions to the Lago di Trasimeno (24 km) or to Arezzo (38 km) are recommended.
Your holiday flat is located on the first floor of an old natural stone house and has been lovingly furnished with a lot of comfort. The ground floor is occasionally occupied by your discreet and kind hosts. On the same plot you will also find another holiday cottage (432 COR).

Garden and land

In the beautifully landscaped garden, table and chairs, barbecue (wood available), table tennis table and hammock are ready for you. A small path leads to a pool in the middle of the greenery (11m x 5m, depth 1.30m), which you can use together with the guests of the holiday home 432 COR. Of course, there are sun loungers and parasols here as well. Vehicles can be parked on the property behind the house.

The property

Access is via an external staircase.

First Floor
The flat itself consists of a small open kitchen, a living / dining room (fireplace, sofa, dining table, satellite TV), two bedrooms and a shower room with WC. The first bedroom houses a double bed, the second two single beds pushed together. The whole is stylishly and simply furnished with beautiful antiques and, moreover, very clean and well maintained.

Well-behaved pets are allowed.

Good to know
A baby cot is available upon request. All shopping can be done about 3 km away. You have a laundry room with washing machine, ironing board and sink (for shared use). Change of bed linen every week. The last 800 m to your holiday home are not asphalted. You can taste the olive oil and wine of the estate, especially the typical Vin Santo. Your hosts can organise wine tastings for you at two well-known wineries in the province of Arezzo: Cantina Faralli Vini DOC Cortona and Cantina Vanelli Chianti DOCG Aretino. If you are interested in a wine tasting or a walking tour, contact your hosts directly on site.
