Enquiry & Booking
You can book via our website (credit card or direct bank transfer) or by mail, sending your request to provence@coquelicot.com (we will then need your address, telephone number, number of adults and children, the age of the children, and the breed and size of the pet if a four-legged friend is coming along).
Whether you have booked via internet or email, in both cases you will receive a booking confirmation completed by us with your chosen payment method by email, as well as directions to your house.
No, because we always prepare the whole house for every stay, no matter how many guests we receive.
In July and August, for logistical reasons, only Saturday to Saturday bookings are possible. Outside the high season, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to satisfy your special request. Out of the high season, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to satisfy your special request.
Our prices include all additional costs: bed linen, towels, electricity and final cleaning (provided you leave the house swept clean) are included. In case of exceptions, we point out the possible price surcharge (e.g. dog, heating, etc.) in the description of the house.
Arrival and stay
You are expected at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. If you are late, you will find the telephone number of the person who will receive you on the directions sent by email. Please call this person one or two hours before your arrival so that he/she can organise himself/herself. On arrival you will be asked to pay a deposit in cash, which we will refund 3 days after your departure. If applicable, a tourist tax may also be required. Yes, unless the deposit is equal to 1000€ or more. Then you have the option to transfer it to Coquelicot’s account 1 week before your arrival. We will refund this deposit 3 days after your return.
For many years, most municipalities in France have levied the tourist tax or local tax. It may be that the landlord charges this locally. This tax varies according to the number of guests and nights, as well as the classification of the house (1 to 3 euros per night per adult).
Most of the pools are open from mid-May to the end of September. For heated pools, they may still be open in early May and October. In winter, all pools are closed.
You can contact us directly or speak to the landlord about your problem if they live next door. Small problems are usually solved in less than 3 days.
Each house has its own rules, but these apply generally to all houses: no smoking in the house, no dogs in the pool, no overcrowding in the house, no friends staying overnight (unless you have been allowed to beforehand). If these basic rules are not respected despite a reminder, the owner may ask for your deposit.
Payment & Cancellation
When booking, a deposit of 30% of the rental price must be paid by bank transfer or credit card. With the booking confirmation you will receive directions to your holiday home. The balance is due without request 6 weeks before the start of the rental period (for credit cards, the balance is automatically withdrawn). If there are less than 6 weeks between the booking and the start of occupancy, the total amount is due at the time of booking.
In case of a cancellation, Coquelicot will charge a cancellation fee of 30 % of the total rental amount up to 6 weeks before the date of occupancy and 100 % of the total rental amount thereafter. If, after receipt of the cancellation notice, we succeed in renting out the property in the period initially booked by you, the cancellation fee shall be reduced to 50% in the latter case. These costs can be covered by travel cancellation insurance on request.
Changes to bookings are only possible up to 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. The rebooking fee is 50 euros.
