Surroundings

This holiday home is located just outside the centre of Aubignan, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The Dentelles de Montmirail loom on the horizon as you arrive. Behind the house is the “Canal de Carpentras”, a picturesque little river. If you walk for 20 minutes along the “Canal de Carpentras”, you will arrive in Beaumes-de-Venise, a neighbouring town known worldwide for its good wine.

Garden and land

The garden is luxuriantly planted and from May to the end of June you are surrounded by all kinds of flowers, bushes and green trees. There are also aromatic plants (thyme, lemongrass, etc) and some vines. You are welcome to help yourself, the grapes are seedless sultana and can be tasted with apréritif or cheese. On the fenced property you have both a pool (5m x 3m, depth 1.40m) and a jacuzzi at your disposal. Barbecue evenings can be organised on the terrace overlooking the garden. You can park your vehicles under the open garage upon arrival.

The property

The property consists of a main building and an outbuilding.

Ground floor
Via the terrace you enter the large living and dining room: on the left large couch with TV and living room table, on the right dining table for six and a well-equipped kitchen with all necessary utensils. On the far left there is a small vestibule with a cupboard for your coats, guest toilet and a storage room where the washing machine and cleaning utensils are. When you cross this room, you land on a glass veranda. This can be used to store bicycles (in summer this place is often too hot to be used).

First Floor
A staircase in the living and dining room leads to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms, each with a double bed. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (one with bath, another with shower), as well as a separate WC.

Outbuilding
The outbuilding is a historic “bastidon” (a stone farm building that used to serve as accommodation for farmers when they worked in the fields). The first floor houses a cosy living room (table, chest of drawers, fireplace) and a shower room (Italian shower) with WC. On the first floor is the bedroom with a double bed and a view of the garden and the neighbouring vineyard.

Well-behaved pets are allowed.

Good to know
Windows are double glazed. The main building has underfloor heating and the rooms are air-conditioned. There are fans in the outbuilding. You can do all your shopping on foot (1 km from the house). There are 2 bicycles at your disposal.
