Vence combines the charm of a historic Provençal town with the mildness of an exceptional climate. Dufy, Matisse, Chagall, Dubuffet, Carzou, Arman, D.H Laurence… The town of Vence has the gift of attracting artists. Henri Matisse, for example, said of Vence, where he lived: “When I walked in front of my house this morning and saw all these young girls, women and men running on bicycles to the market, I thought I was in Tahiti.” Behind so much charm is a long history: the ancient Roman town of Vintium, long the bishop’s seat and lordship of the Villeneuves, Vence still retains much of its heritage today.

Garden and land

The enclosed, flowery garden has many entertainment options for relaxing afternoons. A large pool, shaded terraces with barbecue, a table tennis table and a small boules court are at your disposal. Parking is available on the premises just past the entrance gate.

The property

Ground floor
The Provençal-style house consists of a living area with a fireplace, sofa and television. A few steps separate this area from the dining room, where you can take your meals, and a fully equipped separate kitchen. A bathroom (shower and WC) is also located on the ground floor.

First floor
All 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The second room (two single beds) has a small balcony. The third bedroom offers a double bed and access to a terrace from where you can see the sea on the horizon. Two more bathrooms (with bath) are on this floor.

Well-behaved pets are welcome on request.

Good to know
The villa is located within a 6-8 minute drive of supermarkets and a 4-minute drive of a variety of restaurants. Sporting activities such as tennis are available at Tennis Paddle Vence (4 minutes away by car), and there are many beautiful hiking trails in the area.

30% of the rental price upon booking (advance payment)
