Surroundings

Above the beautiful village of Joucas, in the middle of the Luberon, this 170 m2 holiday home offers you peace and comfort. Directly from the house there are numerous hiking trails or the possibility of wonderful bike rides. In particular, hikers can discover the beautiful Gorges de Véroncles (15 km long with 16th century mills) and cyclists the Mont Ventoux, “the giant of Provence”, at almost 2,000 m above sea level. All the villages of the Luberon are very easily accessible and whether you prefer sport or culture, you will be delighted.

Garden and land

You will enjoy your Provençal meals on the iron table of the south-facing terrace. The pool (7m x 4m, depth 0.9m to 1.8m) spreads out below the terrace. You can park your vehicles in front of the house.

The property

You enter the holiday home through a small courtyard planted with an olive tree, also called the Tree of Peace.

Ground floor
You then enter the living and dining room (TV, HiFi). The dining room with its open-plan kitchen leads onto a shady and romantic south-facing terrace. The stone fireplace, the classic red clay tiles and the dark wooden beams create a very cosy and rural atmosphere. The very comfortably furnished living room is equipped with a piano for music amateurs. To the left of the house entrance are three bedrooms. The first (single bed) opens onto the garden; the second (2 single beds that can be put together) has two windows and is pleasantly fresh on hot summer nights. A small shower room without a window and a separate WC are located in the corridor. The third room (double bed, shower room and WC) opens onto a small terrace with a marvellous view over the valley to the Luberon. To the right of the house entrance, a small corridor leads to the fourth bedroom (double bed). All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with plenty of wardrobe space. Due to its sanitary facilities, the house is more suitable for a family than for two couples.

Good to know
In the cooler months of the year, the house is heated by central heating or electric radiators. You have a washing machine at your disposal. This house is an authentic “maison de campagne” with corresponding charm and character. The furnishings are simple and the furniture, doors and details are older – some with signs of use that are part of the house’s history. Those expecting modern comfort or cutting-edge design may not find what they are looking for here.However, for guests who appreciate the rustic style, the nostalgic flair and the originality, the house offers a special atmosphere. The quiet, natural location and the unspoilt charm of the property will quickly make you forget any minor imperfections.

    Payment terms

    • 30% of the rental price upon booking (advance payment)
    • 70% of the rental price due 6 weeks before the start of the rental period (final payment)
    • 100% of the rental price at the time of booking if there are less than 6 weeks between booking and arrival.
